The 2026 ICGSD invites thought leaders, researchers, innovators, and changemakers to engage in transformative conversations around the future of sustainability. With a focus on reimagining sustainability through the integration of indigenous knowledge systems, emerging technologies, and afrocentric innovation, the four-day event provides a dynamic platform for cross-sector collaboration and actionable dialogue.

Aligned with both the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the conference seeks to co-create inclusive, forward-thinking solutions that are locally grounded and globally relevant—advancing a more just, resilient, and regenerative world
PURPOSE
