Since its inaugural edition in 2025, the International Conference on Green and Sustainable Development (ICGSD) has emerged as a pivotal gathering for academics, policymakers, and practitioners committed to advancing sustainability. The first conference marked a milestone in international collaboration, bringing together thought leaders from across Africa and the globe. It provided a multidisciplinary platform to explore urgent themes such as climate change, green technologies, and inclusive economic growth, setting a high standard for future editions. Hosted in partnership by the University of Kigali, the University of Fort Hare, and the North-West University Business School, the conference laid a strong foundation for ongoing dialogue and innovation in sustainable development.
